BASEBALL

MISSION

The Legacy Sports baseball program is dedicated to offering Mukwonago area youth athletes a local competitive environment that serves as a feeder for the Mukwonago High School team. Our goal is to provide each player with the opportunity to compete, learn, develop, and enhance their baseball skills, with a strong focus on teaching the fundamentals of the game. Furthermore, we stress the importance of sportsmanship and the valuable lessons learned through the challenges of sports.

TEAMS

Our goal is to encourage as many kids in our community as possible to play baseball. We place kids on teams where we believe they will succeed and be motivated to return each year. Each team and grade level is managed uniquely, as we do not adhere to a single, specific “Legacy Way.”

Our goal is to form 2+ teams per season at the following divisions: 8U/2nd Grade, 9U/3rd grade, 10U/4th grade, 11U/5th grade, 12U/6th grade, 13U/7th grade, 14U/8th grade. We aim to have at least one 7U/1st grade level team each year.

Age divisions are determined as follows:
Players in a division must either be in the specified grade or age eligible as of May 1st of the upcoming season. For example, a player in the 10U/4th grade division must either be in 4th grade OR cannot turn 11 before May 1st prior to the season.

GAMES & PRACTICES:

Our teams participate in one of three local leagues. Teams typically play 14-20 league games a season depending on the league they participate in.

MajorYBL – Wisconsin’s largest youth baseball league, featuring many community-based teams from around the area.

WBA – Hosts some of the best baseball teams in the state, featuring many of the Academy teams from Southeastern, WI.

Quad County League – Traveling recreation league which emphasizes participation, teamwork, fair play and sportsmanship.

Dates, times and location of training sessions are determined by the Legacy Coach. Home games are played in Mukwonago Area. Away games involve short travel distances – i.e. North (Mequon), South (Kenosha), East (Milwaukee), West (Watertown).
